Mixed-Media Artist Based in Cornwall

Cerisia Ta’Torin is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Cornwall. Born in 1980 in the Midlands, she spent the first part of her life moving around the UK and Spain. She moved to Cornwall at the age of 16 and has lived there ever since.

Education and Artistic Journey

She studied Art and Design at Penwith College in Penzance, where two of her children would later also study. She went on to study Fashion and Fashion Illustration at Lincoln University, where she won an award, before completing a Master’s degree in Illustration Authorial Practice at Falmouth University. During her master’s, Cerisia wrote and illustrated My Heart Lives Here.

Colour, Process, and Imaginative Storytelling

Since then, she has developed a distinctive practice blending painting, layering, mark-making, and imaginative storytelling. Her work explores colour, texture, and memory, creating vibrant, layered pieces that invite viewers into magical worlds. Cerisia has exhibited widely in Cornwall and beyond, sharing her passion for art that celebrates creativity, curiosity, upliftment, and the wonder of the everyday.
